    英國《每日郵報》報導，日前美國喬治亞州亞特蘭大（Atlanta）舉辦的一場10公里的桃樹馬拉松賽（AJC Peachtree Road Race）中，一名33歲的參賽者班（Ben Payne），以第一名的姿態領先，在快到終點線時，他自認已經勝券在握，就自信滿滿地舉起左手食指，代表勝利的手勢，但沒想到就在他快要抵達終點線的那一瞬間，卻被後頭追趕的英國選手史可特（Scott Overall）超過，與冠軍失之交臂。
